Struggling to Control Emotions My Past is to Blame

Having learnt about the role of the amygdala in creating emotional reactions I have come to the conclusion that my traumatic childhood may be to blame. This was a time when I was often fearful and panicky. I have begun some meditation recently to help me control my thoughts and hence my emotions. Is there anything else I can do? Thank you very much for reading!
