Focusing On A Feeling Helpful

I found what you said about focusing on the feeling helpful – thank you - its like the fear of a feeling is what makes it a problem, but once I go ahead & just feel the damn thing it turns out to be okay, so much so that I am almost unable to even remember what it was I was afraid of in the first place :)


Glad you found the idea of focusing on the feeling helpful. Such emotions trigger negative thoughts as well as physical sensations. It is easier to focus on the physical symptom of the feeling, which is quite effective, even when the emotions appear to be overwhelming.
